Potty Training 101: Housebreaking Your Dog

Potty Training 101: Housebreaking Your Dog

The Business Times did a feature on local dog owners in Feb, just in time for the Lunar Dog Year to roll around. Terry (founder of GDP) talked about the challenges faced by dog owners and how we’re always thinking of ways to make responsible pawrenthood a more meaningful journey. One of the key points raised was the birth of HeyVet, our online veterinary self-help platform in partnership with Vet Mobile - we launched this in hopes of improving the accessibility of accurate, vet-authored resources to the pets community.

Still reeling from the CNY celebrations, we held an encore celebration by co-organising a Lunar Dog Run with Tampines Central CSC - the first ever human-canine running event! 600 running enthusiasts and 150 furry companions ran into the new lunar year with us. An adoption drive and flea market were also set up for post-run recovery fun!

We joined hands with Ohpopdog this time and curated a range of Peranakan inspired bandanas in hopes of shining a light on the Peranakan heritage in Singapore, while also integrating doggie elements. Check out our vogue worthy #pawranakan models!

Following the successful launch of HeyVet, our friends at VetMobile invited group of us over for a cosy hangout session. During the Vet Chat session, we talked about different ways we could improve the quality of our canine companions’ lives - be it physically or emotionally. All of us left enabled with new insights and knowledge, as well as bonus new additions to our furry friend’s contact list.

Tapping into the national day pride and love, we took this opportunity to highlight a neglected part of the dog community - the Singapore Specials. Often abandoned and discriminated against, the Singapore Special breed has come a long way for acceptance. Here, we met with Natalie and Pebbles, and Andrew and Adele, to find out what it means to bePeranakans and Singapore Specials living in a culturally diverse city like Singapore.
